About Me

Traci Ferguson, M.D. is a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician practicing from Boca Raton, Florida. She’s an alumnus of the distinguished Georgetown University, where she graduated in 1996, with Phi Beta Kappa Honors, majoring in Chemistry.

While only a junior chemistry major, Traci was inducted into two prestigious organizations, Phi Beta Kappa (the National Honor Society) and Alpha Sigma Nu (the National Jesuit Honor Society).

In 1996, she received her Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry (graduating magna cum laude) and was honored with several illustrious awards, including the Miljevic Chemistry Award, where she was recognized as the most outstanding senior chemistry major.

Of course, college wasn’t a case of “all work and no play”. During her years at Georgetown, Traci made time for extracurricular activities. One of her passions was the school’s dance theatre, where she served several vital roles, including secretary, production coordinator and director.

Once her undergraduate studies were completed, Traci decided upon furthering her education at the Johns Hopkins University of Medicine. After another four shining years, in 2000 Traci again graduated with honors, this time from one of the leading medical schools in the nation. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree, rose to the top of her medical school’s class and was inducted into the country’s premier medical honor society – Alpha Omega Alpha.

After her acceptance to the Johns Hopkins Medical School, Traci opted to join the ranks of their distinguished medical staff by choosing to perform her residency there as well. Upon completing her residency there in Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Ferguson accepted her first “real” job working as a staff member at the University of Maryland Center, which just so happened to be in Baltimore as well.

While there, Dr. Ferguson served as both a faculty member and a clinical instructor. It was this dual role that really honed her medical skills and practice. As an Attending Physician AND an instructor, Dr. Ferguson’s job wasn’t only to care for her students, but moreover to provide them with the necessary skills that would prepare them to perform good doctoring at whatever destination awaited them upon completion of their residencies.

Today Dr. Ferguson lives in Florida’s beautiful Boca Raton where she specializes in hospital medicine. In April of 2006, Dr. Ferguson and her wonderful husband Rhadi Bullard Ferguson were truly and abundantly blessed with the birth of their son, Rufus Alexander Ferguson.
