The most common mistake you’ll make when losing weight….

Auto Date Monday, February 5th, 2007

It’s not the diet plan…even though most fad diets are destined to fail because they’re either so restrictive that you can’t possibly follow them or so ridiculous that you’ll probably end up gaining weight instead of losing weight.

It’s not your exercise program….although most people wind up spending useless hours in the gym each week going from this exercise machine to that machine doing a few reps here and there and don’t really get a full body workout that could take them only 30 minutes each day if they’d use the turn-key tool that I used to burn away the fat in just 3 months after having my son.

And it’s not even the amount of carbohydrates, protein or fat in your daily food plan….although eating balanced meals without completely restricting or cutting out the carbs, protein or “good” fat will lead to the most sustained and steady weight loss than eating only one over the other.

But the most common mistake you’ll make when losing weight is picking the wrong weight loss partner

Now why is this?

Have you ever noticed that many business partnerships usually fail?

Do you know why?

Because many people go into business with one another for different reasons.  Maybe one wants to be altruistic and help others at any cost…not caring about the bottom line.  And the other partner is all about the Benjamins($)…focused soley on the bottom line.  No matter how well intentioned they both may be if these business partners don’t come together and focus on a common goal, the relationship, the business, and the partnership will fail.

And just like a failed business partnership, if YOU pick the wrong weight loss partner, the wrong workout buddy, the wrong support system….you will fail TOO.  So don’t get stuck on the losing team.  Learn to recognize the key features of a successful weight loss partner right from the start.

This weight loss partner should have similar fitness, weight loss, and health goals as you.  Pick someone who’ll understand your busy schedule.  If you work full-time and have kids then a partner who doesn’t work at all or doesn’t have kids may not fully understand the demands on your time and may not be able to give you the support you need to balance the demands on your time.

So choose your weight loss partner carefully…..Because that partner will stand between you and your new sexier, firmer, healthier body.
